MINISTRY TO MUSLIMS – Help an Afghani Refugee Family
Over 500,000 Muslims live in Southern California, of which over 120,000 reside in Orange County, making this the second largest concentration of Muslim people in the USA. They do not know Jesus as Savior and Lord. Jesus loves Muslims! He wants to work through His children to connect Muslims to Him, so they will be with Him in heaven forever. These new Believers will then have the unique opportunity to connect Muslims worldwide to the grace of God through Jesus. Led by the Holy Spirit working through Pastor Nader Hanna, Salam (Peace) Ministries has directly served 15 Muslim families over the past two years and trained over 600 Jesus Followers to disciple Muslims and others in their neighborhoods and life contexts.
Our current need is to welcome and support newly arrived Afghan refugees to our community. They come with nothing, but we can show them the love of Jesus through your generosity and the relationships the Spirit develops with them and our missionaries. Will you help? Please pray for the people of Salam and support our welcome with the following:
$ 200 Welcome Basket (information, gift cards, basic hygiene, food and non-food items to start life from nothing)
$ 150 Linen Closet (bedding, towels, and linens, etc.)
$ 140 Microwave Oven and Microwavable Dishes
$ 65 Full School Supply Backpack for Families with Children
$ 50 Kindle Fire Tablet (used for English/Arabic lessons by Salam Missionaries)
$ 20 Share in a Welcome Basket, Linen Closet, or Microwave Set
Pray For God to prepare the hearts of the refugees who are far from Jesus so they would be open to the Gospel when shared by the Salam missionaries, volunteers, and others.
