CARING FOR CHINA – CHICKENS

$5.00

Caring For China supports Living Stone Ministry, an indigenous nonprofit, who provide vocational training to teenage boys with disabilities. They live and work on a farm in the south of Xi’an, where they grow vegetables and raise chickens to market their eggs. In the New Year’s season, they sell the chickens and then start over with baby chicks in the Spring. They have room for several thousand chickens. Free Range eggs are very much in demand and they have no problem selling all they can produce. There are very few places in all of China where boys with disabilities can live in a sheltered environment and learn skills that can help them become self-supporting.  Your purchase of one chick can potentially produce hundreds of eggs.

Cost: $5 for one chick
